‘Equality is not a women’s issue, it’s a business issue’. There’s broad consensus that diverse workplaces lead to better business outcomes including increased productivity and profitability. Multiple studies demonstrate this, with a recent BCG report finding that companies with more diverse management teams increased innovation revenue by 19%.

To mark International Women’s Day 2020 the Chamber is delighted to announce Pamela Hutchinson, Global Head of D&I for Bloomberg as our guest speaker for this upcoming Diversity & Inclusion event. With more than 20 years’ experience in managing diversity across the private sector, Pamelia is a recognised thought leader in the area. She was featured in the 2016 and 2017 Global Diversity Lists of Top 50 Diversity Professionals and included in the 2017 & 2018 PowerLists of Britain’s most influential people of African and African Caribbean heritage.

Pamela will join us to discuss her career journey and address the theme for International Women’s Day #EachforEqual, reflecting on the shared responsibility across business to drive greater equality. In conversation with Pamela we will explore not only the challenges of achieving greater gender and LGBTI parity in the workplace but also those associated with embracing racial and ethnic diversity.

Join us for what promises to be a fascinating and enlightening conversation with Pamela about the evolution of diversity and inclusion as a strategic business issue, progress to date and the shared challenge ahead.
