The AFL event, organised by ABIE France Board member Jeremy Durack as part of Australia Now France 2021-22, brought together teams from throughout France, including a women’s team… AFL is increasingly popular in France, with 10 clubs competing in the AFL France competition which is held between September and May each year. There is even an AFL Europe-organised Champion’s League.

Australia’s Ambassador to France and Honorary President of ABIE France, H.E. Gillian Bird PSM., was there to give a professional throw-start to the first game.
