On the 16 October, ABIE France Corporate Member Naval Group, officially launched its first ‘Local Manufacturing Package’ Expression of Interest (EOI) to Australian industry. The package, which is expected to be worth almost AU$900 million, will see the manufacturing of specialised submarine equipment take place in Australia.

It will also be the first of many local packages to be offered over the course of the 50 year Attack-class Submarine Program, signed between the Australian Government and Naval Group in 2016. The package will support hundreds of Australian jobs and will lead to Naval Group Australia opening a new office at Port Adelaide.
