ABIE International Meeting in Ireland – 23-25 June

From the 23rd-25th June, representatives from the Australian Business in Europe (ABIE) Network comprising 19 business associations and chambers of commerce across Europe, met in Ireland for their first in-person meeting since the start of the pandemic.

The Network was hosted by the Irish Australian Chamber of Commerce (IACC) as part of a delegation of Australian businesses to Ireland. AFBA was represented by Isabel Kerr.

The visit involved a dinner at Leinster House and meeting with the Australian Ambassador in Dublin. The group then travelled to the North where they had the honour of meeting the incoming First Minister of Northern Ireland, Michelle O’Neill, at Stormont House and senior members of Northern Ireland’s Executive Office in Belfast.

A special thank you to the IACC for hosting the visit and to the current ABIE Co-Chairs (Rebecca Steffen of the Australian Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Barry Corr of the IACC) for organising the meeting.
