Australia and EU conclude negotiations on landmark Free Trade Agreement

The Australia France Business Association (AFBA) welcomes today’s announcement that Australia and the European Union (EU) have concluded negotiations on a landmark EU–Australia Free Trade Agreement.

France and Australia are particularly well placed to gain from the major economic and strategic agreement which sets the stage to strengthen trade and flows at a time of global economic uncertainty.

The agreement holds particular significance for France and Australia, two economies with strong complementarities across key sectors such as energy, critical minerals, infrastructure, agriculture, and innovation.

AFBA looks forward to supporting its members and the business community in the opportunities this agreement will create, and to further strengthening the Australia-France economic relationship.
